To listen to the pieces bellow you must have RealAudio Player installed. The RealAudio files you will be accessing are relatively small. This enables fast delivery from the Internet, but has the disadvantage that the sound quality is considerably worse than that or the original recordings.
Ten Lyrical Pieces for Classical Guitar were written around 1969. The RealAudio clips to the first six pieces were taken from the original recording of Richard Miles Jackman's first public recital, which he gave at the age of 19 in October of 1970 in the Recital Hall of the Pennsylvania State University. At that time they bore the title Six Songs. Early Spring was taken from an LP recorded in 1970. We feel that the historical value of these recordings outwieghs the rather poor sound quality. Musical scores and RealAudio for the following works by Richard Miles Jackman are currently under preparation: Thirty Progressive Melodic Pieces for the Beginner Ten Moods for Guitar - Reveille, This Moment, Thoughtfulness, Horizon, Fair Maiden, Landscape, March, Drowsiness, Fanfare, Swaying Rainbow & Memories (composed in 1999) Snow Fall (An impressionistic work of 9-minute duration, composed in 1999) Zehn Ochsenbilder (a cycle of 10 Songs with German lyrics, composed in 1979) At the present time we are emphasizing the publication of compositions by Richard Miles Jackman. We are, however, in contact with other composers and do plan to publish works by these in the future. Please check here periodically for new downloadable classical guitar scores.
